Meet Asaad

Asaad represents clients and maximizes their interests on an extensive list of issues and subject areas. With the benefit of broad-based experiences gained while working at high-end firms for over twenty years, Asaad regularly leads clients in connection with commercial, business, and non-profit organization matters, intra-corporate/shareholder battles, employment and labor disputes, estate and trust disputes, products liability, and insurance/indemnification issues. He also handles client matters that involve allegations of white-collar crime and regulatory non-compliance, the First Amendment, professional misconduct and attorney ethics. He regularly appears in state and federal court and before arbitration panels. Asaad serves on both the New Jersey Supreme Court Civil Practice Committee and the New Jersey Supreme Court Model Civil Jury Charges Committee as well as a trustee for both the Bergen County Bar Association and the Association of the Federal Bar of New Jersey.

Asaad also guides a growing number of business clients on corporate governance, best practices, information security, compliance, dispute resolution and international transactions. In addition, he serves as outside counsel to nonprofits and cultural organizations.

Asaad is passionate about the law and has commented on supporting the work of the judiciary, the case for increasing diversity in the legal profession and other legal issues. He also writes and speaks on various topics, including white-collar crime, compliance, insurance coverage and diversity, and has served as a member of the New Jersey Lawyer Magazine Editorial Board since 2011 and is presently the vice chair.  

He has been a fellow of the American Bar Foundation since 2017. Peers have given him an AV Preeminent™ rating of 4.9 out of 5 for professional excellence, as published in the Martindale-Hubbell Law Directory, an authoritative resource about the legal profession. And in 2012, he was named one of the New Jersey Law Journal‘s New Leaders of the Bar, a listing of the top 50 lawyers under the age of 40 to watch in coming years.*
